SCAD freshman Levente Mozsarik broke the NAIA National Record in the 50-yard freestyle on Thursday evening in Ocala, Florida, setting a new benchmark for the Sun Conference Championships. His time of 19.42 seconds shattered the previous record of 19.47 seconds, which was held by Keiser's Noel De Geus, who finished second in the race with a time of 20.13 seconds.

Mozsarik, a 19-year-old from Hungary, is making waves in American collegiate swimming. His performance in the 50-yard freestyle in 2025 ranked him 10th among all Hungarians and 2nd among those born in 2006 or later. He also finished 27th in the 50-free and 33rd in the 100-free at the 2024 European Junior Championships, showcasing his talent on the international stage.

The Sun Conference Championships saw a strong showing from international swimmers, with only a few Americans making it to the finals. Caedmon Peterson from SCAD was the only American to reach the A-final in the men's 50-free, finishing in 5th place with a time of 20.91 seconds. His teammates, Jake Litchfield and Jackson Voelkel, also made it to the B-final.

The St. Thomas men's team took the lead after the first day of the meet, followed closely by defending NAIA Champions Keiser University. SCAD currently sits in 3rd place.

On the women's side, SCAD freshmen Lena Gerl and Jette Haedicke made their mark. Gerl set a new Meet Record in the 500-free with a time of 4:57.29, slicing 2.5 seconds off the previous record. Haedicke also set a new Meet Record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:04.24. The SCAD women's team broke another Meet Record in the 200 medley relay, while Keiser's women claimed the 800 free relay record.

Keiser's Isaiah Aleksenko dominated the men's side, winning the 200 IM in 1:47.62, which was just 0.11 seconds shy of the old Meet Record. SCAD's Kevin Kell, however, set a new record in the 800 free relay with a time of 6:36.28. Keiser also won the 200 medley relay, improving their own Meet Record by 1.4 seconds.
